JET Programme: Application (Now Open) (Deadline: 4:00 pm, Friday, 20 November 2026)

Thank you for your interest in the JET Programme.
The application period for the 2027 JET Programme is now open. 
The application package is downloadable online or you may visit the Embassy of Japan in Jamaica (located at NCB Towers, North Tower, 6th Floor, 2 Oxford Road, Kingston 5) to collect the application form. 

All application documents must be received by the Embassy by 4:00 pm on Friday, 20 November 2026.  Please note that we will NOT accept any incomplete or late applications.  

Before contacting the Embassy, please review the Application Guidelines carefully.

*These two (2) documents are required in your application package at the time of submission if you are applying for April or Early arrival.

Supporting Documents – Letters of Reference, Transcripts, Statement of Purpose, Teaching or Language Proficiency Qualifications, etc., must be arranged in a specific order. Please refer to The 2027 JET Programme Application Guidelines and the Check List.

The Embassy of Japan in Jamaica plans to host several online information sessions while the application is open.

※ All applications need to be received at the Embassy by 4 pm, 20 November 2026,  whether you submit your application in person or by mail (including courier).
※ Please note that we DO NOT accept applications submitted electronically.  
※ Any documents submitted as part of the application will NOT be returned to you. 
※ If you plan to personally bring your applications to the Embassy, please ensure to bring your ID. 
※ Furthermore, please be mindful that being at the Embassy at 4 pm on 20 November 2026 does NOT mean successful submission of the applications.  Your application needs to have been received by the Embassy by the above deadline. We strongly encourage you to try to submit your applications early.
