End-of-Assignment briefing by JICA Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (10 March 2026)

　On 10 March, Ambassador Maruyama received an end-of-assignment briefing from Ms. Minako Osako of the JICA Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers.
　During her one-and-a-half-year assignment in Jamaica, Ms. Osako worked with the Women’s Centre of Jamaica Foundation in Mandeville, supporting young women who became pregnant at an early age continue their education and build their lives. She shared reflections from her work in Jamaica, and Ambassador Maruyama expressed his appreciation for her dedication and contributions.
　Ms. Osako will return to her hometown of Miyazaki and resume teaching at a high school in April. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
