On March 5, Ambassador Maruyama attended a handover ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP), “Provision of School Bus for Bustamante High School,” at the Bustamante High School. Through this project, a 29-seat school bus was donated to the school to improve the commuting environment for students.Implemented under the GGP, this project aims to ensure that students can travel to school safely and secure learning opportunities that enable them to develop their abilities and talents, thereby contributing to improved educational outcomes in the community.
During the ceremony, Honourable Pearnel Charles, Jr., MP, JP, Minister of Labour and Social Security, Principal Evans, and other participants expressed their appreciation to the Government of Japan. The children warmly welcomed the arrival of the new school bus and expressed their excitement.
