On 20 January 2026, as the new Ambassador of Japan to Jamaica, Mr. Maruyama presented his credentials to His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, Governor-General of Jamaica, at King’s House, and formally commenced his duties as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan.
