On January 13, Ambassador-Designate Maruyama welcomed Ms. Kate Forbes, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and her delegation. They exchanged views on the impact of Hurricane Melissa and ongoing relief efforts. Japan is providing emergency assistance through the IFRC, and appreciation was expressed for Japan’s support.
