The Ceremony for the Conferment of the Decoration upon Ambassador Clement Philip Ricardo Allicock, former Ambassador of Jamaica to Japan

On April 8, Ambassador of Japan to Jamaica, His Excellency Ambassador Yasuhiro Atsumi conferred the decoration of ‘The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star’, upon Ambassador Clement Philip Ricardo Allicock, former Ambassador of Jamaica to Japan, in recognition of his outstanding contribution in promoting the bilateral relationship and mutual understanding between Japan and Jamaica.
In his congratulatory speech, Ambassador Atsumi expressed his heartfelt congratulations and great appreciation to the distinguished dedications of Ambassador Allicock, stating "his contribution to our bilateral relationship has been exceptional as he laid the groundwork of the prosperous Jamaica-Japan （J-J） Partnership". In his reply to remarks, Ambassador Allicock expressed his profound gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him by the government and people of Japan, saying, “I’m glad to receive this prestigious award, Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star, from the Government and people of Japan here today. Also, I appreciate my family, especially my mother, who raised me, for their many supports."
