Ambassador Atsumi atended the opening ceremony of International Photo Exhibision 2024「 Photo one Love」

On Sunday, October 6, Ambassador Atsumi delivered remarks at the opening ceremony of International Photo Exhibition 2024 「Photo One Love」 in cerebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Jamaica, hosted by the Photographic Society of Japan and supported by the Embassy of Japan in Jamaica, at National Gallery in Kingston. Nearly 100 people attended the opening ceremony, including Ms. Anju, a Japanese photographer from the Photographic Society of Japan, The Hon. Tavares-Findson, the chairman of the National Gallery and President of the Senate, Commissioner of Police Dr. Kevin Blake, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ambassadors of the United States , China, and other diplomatic corps members, and Japanese residents including President of the Japanese Association in Jamaica. They enjoyed exhibited photographs of Japanese festivals and children taken by Japanese photographers. In Tokyo, a photo exhibition by Jamaican photographers and others will be held from the 24th of this month hosted by the Japan Photographic Society. This is the first-time exchange through photo exhibitions between Jamaica and Japan.
