On 7 December 2022, Ambassador Fujiwara paid a farewell call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security the Honourable Dr. Horace Chang. They exchanged ideas on how to further strengthen the relationship between Japan and Jamaica along with matters relating to security. In the meeting, the Honourable Zavia T. Mayne, MP, Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security and Mr. Courtney H. Williams, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of National Security also joined.
