Online lecture by Dr. Masami ISHIDA, Department of International Regional Development at Nihon University about ‘Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)’

On March 21st, the Embassy of Japan in Jamaica and the Department of Government, at the University of the West Indies, MONA hosted an online lecture. Dr. Masami SHIDA, from the Department of International Regional Development at Nihon University, who is an expert of the South East Asia region, lectured on the reinforcement of connectivity as one of the important pillars of FOIP. There were some questions from participants included 'what are the difficulties to improve connectivity in countries like Philippines and Indonesia' and 'what is the importance of Special Economic Zone (SEZ） among countries in South-East Asia'　and exchange of opinions was implemented actively.
