Support for Japanese Language Education and Japanese Studies

Embassy of Japan supports Japanese language education and Japanese Studies in Jamaica.
 
Program for the Donation of Japanese-Language Teaching Materials (Japan Foundation)
Japan Foundation through the Embassy has donated Japanese language teaching materials to three institutions including University of the West Indies, University of Technology and Language Training Centre in Jamaica, which offer Japanese language courses.
 
Japanese Studies Overseas and Intellectual Exchange (Japan Foundation)
Japan Foundation through the Embassy has donated Japan-related publications to university libraries including University of the West Indies, University of Technology and Northern Caribbean University.
 
Training Program for Teachers of the Japanese-Language (Japan Foundation)
Three Jamaicans have been to Japan to participate in the training program.
 
Japanese-Language Program for Overseas Students (Japan Foundation)
The Embassy has selected and sent three Japanese learners to Japan under the Japan Foundation program, where they studied Japanese language, society and culture.
 
■Japanese Speech Contest
The Embassy has collaborated with the University of the West Indies for Japanese Speech Contest.
