On 27 July 2026, as the new Ambassador of Japan to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Mr. Maruyama presented his credentials to Her Excellency the Most Honourable Dame Cynthia A. Pratt, ON, CD, GCMG, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, at the Government House, and formally commenced his duties as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan.
